Home Now
Well, I'm home now, and all went well. Had my surgery on 2/17 and the hospital staff at United was wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I've been feeling pretty good but have a very positive attitude on recovery and the future. I don't want to dwell on pain or the "poor me" syndrome. I want to get started on the "new me". Thanks for your support and encouragement. It's good to be on the other side...finally!

Hi Marcia-
I had my surgery on 2/12 and doing well also . I agree with you 100% about keeping a positive attitude. I have had a few moments of regret but that is only because I had extremely bad nausea the first week. However, even through the nausea I kept telling myself that I have made the right decision in life. 1 year from now I will look back and laugh at myself for ever getting upset. I am already feeling soooo much better. The nausea has gotten better and I am eating mushy foods. I just wish I had a few suggestions on different type of mushy foods to eat. I wish you a speedy recovery. If you need some one to talk with please feel free to e-mail me.
Marcia,
Congratulations! Hang in there, I am sure each day will get better and this will all be worth it. I have my surgery on Tuesday 2/24 and am pretty anxious myself. Keep up the possitive attitude and may you be blessed with a speedy recover and a successful future of a healthy and happy life.
