Passed Pre-op

Had all my pre-op stuff yesterday. Everything went fine. 6 days till surgery. I can't wait. Went tubing with the kids last night and all I could think about being 100lbs lighter and how much EASIER it will be to get up that dang hill!!! LOL I will confess and say I have a SLIGHT cold I am fighting. Just a tad of a sore throut and thick mucus, runny nose. So I have been taking econashia(sp?) to try and kick it in the butt!!! Jen

Jen, You may also try Zinc. It is known to lessen the duration of a cold. They have it in a nasal spray which I prefer over the lozenges. Good luck with your surgery. Susan

Hi Jennifer- I am so excited for you. I am 1 week and 1 day post-op and doing great. You too will do fine. I wish you all the luck. I was feeling a cold come on a few days before my surgery and my doctor put me on this anti-biotic called the Z-pack. It comes in a 5 day pill or 3 day pill. If you don't feel better soon ask your doctor about that. If you need anything, e-mail . Erica
