5 days post op - GREAT

Surgery on 2/12....Home 2/14. If I had known how well it was going to go, I wouldn't have been so scared. I felt good really soon, was able to get in and out of bed by myself and had walked 4.5 miles by the time I left the hospital. I actually went shopping at Wal-Mart for about an hour the afternoon I arrived home! I have some discomfort inside (Obviously, since they re-plumbed me!), but my surgery was lap and I have NO pain from the incisions. The drain is a drag, but I get it out in 3 days so it's no big deal. If my scale is accurate, I've lost at least 11 pounds since surgery and I'm feeling good; A brief afternoon nap is helpful. I'm sleeping in my own waterbed upstairs and haven't had any problems getting in or out.

Wow what a inspiration you are! You make it all sound so easy! I am having surgery on the 25th and I pray it goes as well as yours! Keep up the great job and God Bless You! Betty

Wow!!! You sound like it was so easy. I know it was not. I am very glad for you that it went so well. My surgery on the 27th @7:00 am. I am so nervous and excited. I am scared about how hard it is getting in and out of bed. I hope to keep in touch with you. Do you think that getting up and walking so much made for an easier and quicker recovery? Laurie
