KRISTIN, WELCOME HOME. I HAD MY SURGERY ON THE 9TH. YOU WILL BE SORE FOR AWHILE. WHEN YOU ARE ALONE ROLL TO YOUR SIDE AND USE YOUR ARM MUSCLES TO PULL YOU UP, THAT WILL TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR SORE TUMMY. ALSO HOLD A FOLDED BLANKET ON YOUR STOMACH TO PUT PRESSURE ON YOUR TUMMY, THAT WILL HELP ALSO TO EASE YOUR PAIN, AS FOR FOOD, NO A BIG MAC IS A THING OF THE PAST, I GUESS, I CAME TO TERMS WITH LEAVING FAST FOOD BEHIND, I DO NOT THINK IT IS UNNORMAL THOUGH TO MOURN THE LOST OF OUR FAVIORTE FOOD, IT HAS BEEN A MAJOR PART OF OUR LIVES FOR SO LONG. I LOVE SEEING THE #'S GOING DOWN ON THE SCALE AND THAT IS SOOOOO WORTH IT! DOWN 14 LBS. HOPE THIS HELPS. MICHELLE

Kristen, I had my surgery on Feb 3rd and came home on the 5th. My surgery was done lap, and I (fortunately) had very little pain post-op. Came home without pain meds. Hope your pain gets better very soon. As for the food part, I can sympathize with you. Though I really am not craving a specific food and can't say I was or am really hungry, I am emotionally "mourning" not being able to have it. I'm now allowed to have some soft foods, so it's getting a bit better. Hang in there, it'll get better for you, too. At just about 2 weeks out, I'm down 22 pounds, which is making it a little easier to follow the plan. Will definitely say a prayer for you, if you'll do the same for me. Please feel free to email me, if you'd like.
