Surgery 02/23/04
This is my first post. I have a date of 2/23, and I am soooo nervous. I never thought I would feel this way. It seems like once I had my date that it was finally real. I am having surgery at St. Alexius Medical center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. My doctor is Dr Rantis of Suburban Surgical Care. Well thats all for now. Good luck to everyone.

Hi Meridth,
I just saw your post, and I am so happy for you. I had a surgery date for March 1st, but it has been moved up for February 23rd. So my surgery is on the same day as yours. My doctor is Dr. White at the Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Neb. I wish you all the luck, and will pray for you.

Meridth: I will have Surgery w/ Dr. Champion in Atlanta next Tues, 2/10 and am very nervous but very hopeful about the outcome. I keep trying to think that it's more likely that something could happen anytime at home than that there will be any real problem w/ the surgery. I wish you the best on the 23rd! Pam Kaplan
Hey Meridth,
We have something in common, i am having my RNY surgery in the 23rd too!!!!! I have been waiting almost a year from the start. My surgeon is VERY,VERY, busy. But i know that the wait will be worth it. I know we will both be feeling good soon. I have heard so much good about this. I know we will be in good hands. I wish you a very Successful Uneventful Smooth Surgery! Keep me updated if you would like, see you on the loosing side!-

My surgery is scheduled for 2-27-04 at Alexian brothers (LAP RNY) with Dr. Rantis. I also am very nervous, but also excited.
Can't imagine what it will be like on the other side.
My thoughts will be with you. Keep me posted on your outcome.

This is my first post too Meridith. Our surgeries are the same date. I've been working on getting mine for 2 years. And like you, once I got the date I went from ecstatic to fear...and now I'm even feeling a little sadness here and there. I hear this is expected...especially for those of us who tend to be hypersentive people. I don't have any advice, but I would enjoy keeping up on your progress and sharing mine. My surgery is at Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA at HIGH NOON...
Hope to hear from you soon.
