Afternoon all. I finally got the stress test and echo results back and all are normal. And I saw my surgeon yesterday and he says it all looks good and we are good to go. I am getting but know I am ready. I have a lot of support from here and at home. I hope this will help some of you with children. My daughter is 12 and she has read everything that I have read. She knows the pros and cons to the surgery and yes she had questions. I answered the best to my knowledge. So when I came home yesterday and told her that it is a go. She was so happy for me. Then hour later I see her in the cabinet where I have been storing my supplements and shakes. I asked her what she was doing. She said she found a list of everything you are supposed to have and I am double checking to make sure you are not missing a thing. She went about her business and she looked like she was taking inventory. Looking and makering the list. It was so funny and she had a serious look on her face. It was about hour later she comes to me and say mom, you did a good job, but this (candy bar) you can not have. Has way to many sugar in it. I will take care of it for you. (I bought for now not after the surgery) And before I could say anything she ate it . When she was done. She turn to me and said "if sugar tastes this good your stuff must be awful." All I could do is at her she was so straight forward and serious but at the same time I wanted to . She ATE my candy bar. I hope this put a on some ones face. We need to smile for the support and family we have that try and take good care of us. See you all on the lighter side. Donna

Donna, Alright!!! Way to go on your stress test!! How did that go? Did you have the nucular test? I am having mine on Monday and i am nervous! I enjoyed reading about your daughter! How sweet- I have a daughter 14 and a son younger. My daughter is great too she they both know about the risks and positive of the surgery and they are sure i will be fine. Although my daughter thinks i will be a different person after, i said just my size will change not my heart! I will be the same person just happier and able to do more things with her. She smiled big and gave me a hug then she said - you can share my clothes with me! -I was so touched - . Yes family is extremly important and thier support is a must to make everything go good. I haven't bought any protien shakes or bars because i haven't met with my nutritiionist yet and i don't know what to look for. If you have any suggestions let me know! Good Luck- Jill
