21 days and counting down

I'm anxious to hear from others whose surgery date is the same or near mine (02/09/04). Anyone who might be having their surgery at Northside Atlanta. What are your thoughts right now? Are you excited, scared, happy, sad, etc.????? Look forward to developing friendship with those who share a common bond. What do you want to do that you can't do right now??? How do you think you will be a year from now???

I'm in Missouri, but we have the same surgery date-- 2/9/04. I go under at 10:30 am, and I am a nervous wreck! I have to go to my family doc on Friday to schedule the pre-op testing, and I plan on asking her for something for my nerves, because ever since I got the date, I've barely slept. It's not even because I'm thinking about something going wrong with the surgery; it's stupid stuff, like worrying about who will take care of the dog and which hotel I should stay at the night before...(I'm getting it done in St. Louis, and I live 4 hours south of there). How are you doing? I'm starting to think I'm a total whack job! Stephanie
