Does anyone know????? When you have lap surgery, is arterial blood gas tests a normal thing to have done? I am not good with needles and I am freaking out cuz my friend who had it the regular way didn't have that done, but my friend who had lap had it done every morning and a few times in between a day. Need the info....

I am having a Lap RNY and so far I haven't had to have blood gasses done. I too am so scared of the blood gasses. I was told that it might be done while in surgery so thats what I am hoping for because then I will be asleep. It all depends on your doctor. I would call and ask them I've asked everytime I am told I have to go for a different test. Good luck!
