2 B Admitted 1/27 [4 Surgery 2/10]

Hello All! I am having surgery on February 10th, but will be reporting to admitting on January 27th. My doc wants to do a lot of breathing treatments, get me off my meds, and start me on blood thinners and antibiotics. Not to mention getting me started on a liquid diet about 72 hours b/f surgery. Please, I am asking for special prayers, as my hubby is very ill right now, and I am hoping I do not need to r/s my important day! I have waited for 7 years to finally be approved. I am asking for prayers that my husband's illness is addressed and treated soon, so I won't feel compelled to cancel my surgery to be by his side. I just cannot leave him when he is this ill ! Judy, I pray things will work out for you, and that your husband's health will be restored. Seems your doctor is on top of things in your treatment. I pray your surgery goes smoothly and that you have a speedy recovery. My surgery date is the same as yours, so I'll be thinking of you. It's been a long journey, but we're almost there!

Hi Judy, I hope everything works out for you and your husband.... I will say a pray for you both.... I too have a date for 2/10/2004, I don't know about you, but I am so scared right now, I have even been thinking about backing out.... I'm trying so hard to stay focus, but it's really hard.... I'm 5'6 and my weight is 285, most people say I don't look like I weigh that much, but I do.... Anyway, I just wish this was over and done with.... Anyways, I'll keep you in my prayer.... Thanks so much Linda. Yes I am very scared because my health has really been taxed lately. I had lost a bunch of weight to improve my surgical risk, but now, with all the on the run eating and going back and forth to the hospital, I have probably gained most of that back. I'm feeling pretty weak. My husband is not well at all, and I'm really thinking of backing out too, but I know he would be so disappointed and I have a 15 year old daughter to think about too. I will pray for all of us. Please write me anytime you need to talk. I say I want to back out, but I know I won't. I need to be strong for my husband because after he has his surgery on Monday, he will be on chemo for 6 months. He will need me to be getting fitter all the time. Judy, I just read your profile and it really moved me. You have come so far. I pray that your husband will have better health, and that you will be able to go through with your surgery. It sounds like you need to be healthy to take care of him for awhile. God be with you both. Hugs, Debbie
