UPDATE...
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOooo missing our regulars who have gone into lurkdom...or have been busy with life . I check in regularly and I miss updates on all our old friends from February-land. Come out, come out...where ever you are!!!
Life 2 1/2 years following surgery is difficult at times. I am almost able to eat anything and my portion size keeps increasing. I am scared, but trying to stay calm and real. I never want to be where I was. I am hovering around 200 pounds and would really like to be at 150...I 'm not sure why - it is just a number. I feel good. It's nice to be able to rotate my clothing for the seasons and not have to shop because things are too tight.
Home life is good. My daughter turns 5 in November...my son is almost 7 months old. Work is work and I am ready for fall.
So, how are you?
Denise
Denise,
Good to hear from you too. How can the baby be almost 7 months old already????? Boy, does time fly by.
On another list I belong to many have joined Weigh****chers to help keep them on track and accountable with their weight. It is a good program. You may not be able to eat all the points in the program, but it helps with motivation and accountability for many.
We just got back from a 2 week vacation to Seattle and Alaska. Trying now to get back into our normal routine. Doing great, just a bit tired.

Life just gets so busy, it's tough to find time to post. I lurk as often as possible. I like peeking in and knowing that you're all doing well. I do wonder about Debbie and JoAnne (remember them from early on?) and how they're doing this far out.
2.5 years post op is good. I stayed at 148 lbs. for nearly 15 months, then gained 6 pounds virtually overnight, but have now stayed stable for another 8 months so I'm hopeful that this was my big re-gain and if so, I can certainly live with that.
In the last 8 months, my youngest child moved into her own apartment, we bought a new house, put in a new pool and I changed jobs. Whooo! I get tired just thinking about all of the changes. The good thing is that I'm now healthy enough to keep up.
One question: I am scheduled for a bladdar lift and a hysterectomy next month; both as a result of the weight loss. Drs. indicate that after losing so much weight, "everything fell." Has anyone else experienced or heard of this?
Love to you all,
Julie
