It's Friday ....how's it going?
Hi Everyone,
Write a short note and let us know how you are doing. Remember it is easier when we help each other along the way.
I'm doing pretty good, down 5 lbs the last 2 weeks. It is taking a lot of hard work tho. I'm using the pool each day and riding the bike. Trying to focus on high protein. Fresh fruit has been a blessing too. Lots of good varities to choose from.
This week, we did an extra thorough cleaning of the cupboards, fridge, freezer and got rid of all the "junk" things that could tempt me or my hubby. He has lost 4 lbs the last two weeks too. So we are both trying to lose more weight. It does help that we are doing this together.
I've been having lots of insomnia lately. The bad thing with it is that I find that I want to eat when I can't sleep. Working hard to overcome that by drinking lots of water etc. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.
Mary
You must really not be getting any sleep, Mary! But we can post on a Thursday too, can't we?
Sorry I've been out of pocket here lately. We've been working on home improvements for the last month and that's what my whole life has been revolving around.
I've missed everybody!!! I haven't had much of an appetite with the heat here lately and have lost 5 pounds. I've been getting my water protein and vits in everyday, but not been exercising as it's way too hot outside. With everything I've been doing around the house, I'm probably burning some calories.
I know it must be hard for you, Mary, not being able to sleep at night and trying not to eat. My heart goes out to you! Have you tried taking Tylenol PMs? I sometimes have to take them to put me to sleep and they're non-addictive.
Hope everyone has a great day! Wanda
Wanda,
Absolutely we can post on Thursday (or any other day of the week).
What are you doing at your home? I remember when our home was being built that it was very, very life consuming.
Come on over Wanda and you can use our pool. I'm going to go in in just a few minutes. Needed a few minutes to wake up. I try to work out in the pool each day, sometimes twice.
Congratulations on the weight loss. That is fantastic. And you are doing great getting in your protein and vitamins too.
Hugs,
Mary
Mary,
Your pool must be cooler than ours. Its reached 100 - 102 degrees here in the Memphis area the last couple of days and the pool feels like a nice warm bath tub. Not refreshing at all. I did swim a few laps Tuesday evening, but that's it. We haven't had any rain in probably a month. I've been fighting to keep my flowers blooming, watering every evening. Next year, I'm planting cactus!
We're in the process of re-doing our kitchen, den, dining room and study. We've painted the den and kitchen and tiled behind the stove and sink areas of the kitchen. We're in the process of painting the dining room and study, but have to wait on a carpenter to come out and install crown molding in the study and fix some ruined floor molding in the dining room (made the mistake of moving the litter box a year ago and the cat showed me!). Then... we're going to attempt to lay hard-wood or bamboo flooring in the den, dining room and study. We layed ceremic tile in the kitchen area a few years ago and are going to try our hand at the wood flooring. (I'm too cheap to pay someone to do something I think I can do myself.)
When we finish, I'll try to post some pics of our handy-work to my profile.
Hugs back,
Wanda
Our pool is about 88 to 90 in the mornings. So comfortable. Yes, definitely warmer in the evening. We have an airrator that when used cools down the water significantly. It is like a sprinkler that uses water from the pool and sprays it over the pool so air cools the water. It is used when the pool cleaning system is on. If we use it early in the summer, it makes the water way too cold to use.
Sounds like you are one busy lady but the remodeling will be so worth the effort. Would love to see photos.
I am doing well! I am 2.5 years post op and pmsing.. I weight in 2 lbs heavier. I won't get on the scale for a week. I have 48,749 steps, 23.08 miles and 2,511 calories so far. My goal is at 30 miles. I am still in theraphy dealing with the fact I am loving sugar again and dumping too. We had a nice session on yesterday. I brought a king size nestle carmel bar for future use. I know I have a problem with this and admit it 100 % this is the only way I can work on the real issue. I haven't touched the candy. My life goal is not to ever look like my before picture ever again. I would like to weigh 175 vs the 180 goal weight my surgeon gave me I am two pounds over that right not and really look smaller.
God bless all of you and I pray we all maintain and never gain.
Happy Friday
Shirley
