Kudos to Barbara Huffman

Me three!!!! I had a blast and was so glad I had a night off from the race track. I loved it! Barbara, you knew just what we all needed! A buffet!!!! (Just kidding.) The only complaint we had was that someone must have kidnapped our waitress. She went missing in a hurry. It was great to see everyone and everyone did look wonderful. All of you pre-ops, hang on! Your in for the ride of your lives!!!!!!!!!!!! And Rachel, don't let the ulcers get you down. I've been totally able to ignore mine for the last couple of months. It'll get better. And all you knew post-ops, especially Barbara Metcalf, keep your chin up. There is life after surgery and it will be good. Relax and enjoy the ride. Enough....I know......never know when to shut up. Hail to the QUEEN HUZZY!! My God Pat, I was simply amazed! I can't say enough about your progress and just how simply amazing you look! Talk about shock and awe!!!!! LOL!! I am so sad I missed it. I just assumed the weather that way would have been bad. I wish I would have just went that way and played it by ear instead of not even trying. When is the next one?? I will have my GF promise to take me and drop me there no matter what excuse I may come up with or reason that it may not be the day for it. I may have even been a bit scared to meet new people. You know I have no real life friends who are pre or post op. I just realized that..heck besides my GF and her friends.. (Whoa is Me) I have no friends of my own in all of NC. I must get out or I will go nuts. I am really glad to hear you all had such a wonderful time. LisaJBH

Yes lastnight was a BLAST! We had a good turnout! Thank you everyone for coming! You did good Barbara "Anna Nicole Smith" Huffman! Everyone keep in mind that for September's event, we're all going to get together in Hickory for the WALK FROM OBESITY walk. It is on September 18, 2004 at the Hickory Foundation YMCA! Lisa Craig brought brochures that my daughter passed out to everyone. A few of us thought that would be a great way to get together....a little physical activity for the cause (and for ourselves) and plenty of time to walk and talk. And maybe afterwards we can grab a salad somewhere or just mingle when the walk is finished! If you raise $25 you get a tshirt! I was thinking it would be cool if we could have tshirts made, but I guess that would be expensive and probably not enough time to do. We could form our own Walking TEAM! If you want a brochure, please give me your mailing address and I'll be glad to drop one in the mail to you! I've also created a mailing list of all of our email addresses from last night plus some that I will send out to everyone. REMBEMER, the more the merrier! Weslyn, we missed you lastnight. Everyone hopes you will feel better soon! And has anyone heard from Barbara Metcalf? How is she doing? I felt so bad for her lastnight! But she was a trooper to still come lastnight! Thanks to both you and Barbara for pulling the meeting together last night. I had a great time!!! Thanks to everyone for all their support of each other I like the team T-Shirt idea. I think we can pull it off. Is there an artist or designer out there??? If so and they can do the design on their home PC in Word . Then it will only cost about $1 each for the screen. Then if everyone would bring their own t-shirt to the August support meeting, I will make sure the design gets on the shirts. (I have my ways!!!) What do you think? I had a great time too! It was a bit too far for me to go again But maybe next time we could do Winston Salem, Kernersville, Greensboro, etc...?
