Topic: I am almost there
Happy New Year Everyone! I weighed in this morning at 196lbs. That is a total loss so far of 99lbs. I am 1 pound shy of the century club. I have not been under 200lbs in almost 17 years and I must tell ya, it feels great! I am so grateful to all of you for your support. Especially Dr. Frantzides. He is the greatest. So far, I have had no complications, except for slight anemia. I would do this again in a heartbeat. I am now 23lbs shy of my personal goal of 173lbs. At 5'10, this is my desired weight.
Good luck to everyone whatever stage you are on your journey.

Topic: down 140 lbs!
Hello My AMOS family, I am happy to say that I weighed myself today at 267, and I'm now down 140 lbs.!!!! I know that with all this saggy skin is hard to deal with, but overall I am feeling GREAT! Good luck and congratulations to you all as we approach our anniversary
Topic: Anniversary Quickly Approaching
I'm so proud to say that I have reached my goal in less than a year. I'll be 1-year post-op on February 3, 2004 and so far I've lost 128 pounds. I don't really want to lose more, but I have a feeling I will lose another 10 to 15 pounds as my exercise routine increases. If I end up at a size 4 or 6 (I'm an 8 now) I won't complain. I don't want to be that small, but I didn't want to be a size 24 either. I just want to maintain a HEALTHY lifestyle. Thanks for all of the encouragment I receive on here. You all are the BEST!

Hey Kelly! We are almost there. It has been quite a journey. I am so thankful that I have had you to go through it with! I am so glad we met on here and have kept in touch. It has been so nice to know that I am not the only one going through a phase at that time. Remeber when we would just "talk" about what we wanted to eat soooo bad? I cant beleive that we have made it this far. We have made it!!!!! Thanks girl!

Topic: RE: Im I failing on this weight loss thing?
Please don't feel that you are failing. When was the last time you lost 85 pounds????? I am a slow weight loss person as well and I do get discouraged. I still look in the mirror and wish that I could lose more but I will not get discouraged or give up. I'm losing and thats all that matters to me. Don't compare yourself to others everyones body is different. Hang in there!

Topic: hernia/dehydration
Hello i am 9mths out and have a hernia to be repaired in FEB at my year date.. I am wondering how extensive surgery it is? Outpatient? I also get lightheaded on some days and at some points in the day; DOES anyone have any ideas on this/ I hate to drive and run around when I feel like that; ALMOST an anxiety feeling.. I am on new meds for that which helps some and also decreasing some of my antidepressants and blood sugar and blood pressure pills; HOW do you all do that; COLD turkey or slowly? thanks REPLY to my email address; [email protected]..
