surgery on the 14th

its coming sooo fast! my goodness! im having vsg on the 14th which is 7 days away. feels like tomorrow! ive already started packing so i hope i dont forget anything. i have a 5 day pre-op diet that starts on the 9th. i know it may be hard but this is what i want. I can do this!!

My date is the same! I am having RNY on the 14th and getting very nervous. I have been on an all clear liquid diet since 1/1, and I am ready to chew something LOL. Good Luck with surgery!!! I'll be rooting for you!!!!

I wish I only had 5 days to do, :-(. But on day 5 we have to weigh in and if no weight loss- cancelled surgery.... How mean!

That's what  I don't get about ours, no check-in or weigh in.  We just show up day of surgery.  They say in the paper work we will be tested to see if we complies.  How the heck do they do that!

Lol, I have no idea! You will have to let us know.  I didn't have to do a weigh in with Lapband either, but I'be been so darn constipated, I'm afraid my loss won't show.  So today I took some MOM, hope it helps.

Did you go with the same surgeon as your Lapband? I had mine done at Hurley, and I just didn't think the quality of their services were up to par (the hospital, that is).  I only met with the surgeon one time and that was during the initial consult.  He didn't come to see me after the surgery!

Dr Wagner and Dr K both left Hurley just before Christmas.  Dr Wagner did remove my band.  I have to use Dr Faranh as he is the only one left. He is also the best and most experienced of the bunch. I didn't have a problem with the hospital so much as the whole Bariatric center had changed since I was banded and not for the better.  You'd think with the competition now that Lansing, Saginaw and Midland have programs they would do better not worse.  They aren't the only game in town.  They are living off their reputation of old.  You still only see the surgeon one time at consult.  The first time me or any of mine have had surgery were the surgeon doesn't at least stop in and say hi I'm here.

I am using them as my PCP and insurance require it.  Also they have been doing the sleeve longer and McLaren doesn't do the sleeve at all.

That's sad to hear. Dr. Farhan was my original surgeon. I wish you good luck, hope everything goes well.
