Topic: Surgery tomorrow
I'm having my revision tomorrow. Of course it's supposed to snow during the night...grrrrr - one more thing to worry about! I'm getting nervous, just can't wait for it to be over and I'm back in my own house. I'm trying to think positively. I guess I'm nervous about not being able to eat the old comfort foods. I remember feeling that way before my surgery in 2004 - will I go crazy if I can't eat the things I want??? Well I didn't - I got used to things they way they were and my whole life changed. I exercised and felt so much better about myself. So, I'm trying to think positively and take one day at a time.
So wish me luck - by noon tomorrow I should be on the losing side!!

Topic: How are all the new Post-Ops doing
I had my surgery on the 16th today is the 20th so I am 4 days post op. So far so good I have had no problems holding food down. I am eating waiting drinking waiting. This morning I did eat a little to fast and my new stomach let me know. It hurt a bit.
its been very cold and snowing the last couple of days so walking around my house as much as I can. The weather was so nice before my surgery I thought I might be able to walk outside but cant.
by Saturday I am going to try to get to the mall and do some walking
Cant wait to hear from the rest of you.

Topic: RE: Hi January People.
Hey all you January sleevers! Looks like I am the last, so far anyway......mine is this Monday, the 23rd. I was doing so well with my diet...lost 17 lbs., but I find myself doing a bit of mourning-eating (eating like I will never get to eat this stuff again, thus the mourning). I am getting nervous too, but really need to cut out this "last meal stuff" Anyone have any trouble with that before surgery?
Topic: RE: 6 days out
I am 4 days out I do have pain on my left side. If it wasnt for that I would have no pain at all,
I hope this pain goes away soon, its not unbearable but just annoying,

Hi Michelle. I have to admit I don't know a lot about the sleeve, but wishing you all the luck in the world. Weight loss surgery is truly a life changing event. I had RNY in 2004 and did very well. I started off at 280 and ended up around 160. Over the years I gained some here and there, but in the past year I've gained nearly 50 lbs. Long story short, the opening of the stoma has closed and a fistula opened into the stomach, so my anatomy is operating 'normally'. So, I'm having a revision to fix it. I'm anxious about it, but ready to stop the crazy eating I've been doing lately.
My surgery is on Saturday - Jan 21. Hope we can all keep in touch and be a support system for each other!
