Topic: RE: Hi January People.
I was sleeved on January 5th. I just
started pureed foods on Thursday, and things
seem to be going pretty well. This has all been
a bit overwhelming for me, given that the first
time I gave any serious thought to having the surgery
was the beginning of November.

I was in 2 nights. I know some when home after one night the key is to walk ALOT. More you walk then you will pass gas and get to go home sooner.
Topic: So Bored
Hey all I had surgery 1-9-12 and am so bored. Its freezing here ice everyplace and cant get out to walk.
I am so happy I had this done but being a single mom I feel lonely sitting home all day long.
I was in hospital 2 nights due to pain from hiccups day after my surgery caused by the drainage tube. The second they removed it I felt so much better.
Since then I have dumped twice from milk. Guess I am lactose intolerant or allergic to it. I never drank milk before surgery as it always upset my stomach but now its way worse. This issue is making it really hard to get in all the protein but I am not giving up. The dietians are great source of support on helping with this.
I hope everyone is doing great if they have had surgery or good luck if you are preping for surgery.

I'm going in for a RNY revision - hoping to do it laprascopicly and my doc said I would be in the hospital at least one night. I'm really hoping to get out after one night, but guess lots of things come into play.

What are you eating? Are you on solid food yet? My doc will have me on fluids; protein shakes, cream soups, broths, etc. for the first week, and if I'm doing well, I will move onto purees the next. He said by the fourth week I'll be on regular foods. Glad about that...my first surgery I was on clear fluids for three weeks!!
