I know a lot of the protein drinks can be blech.  Have you tried the EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control protein drinks?  They're OK but only 17 g.   I drink 1 cup of Calorie Countdown chocolate milk and mix it with one scoop of Isopure Zero Carb Powder.   I blend it in my Blender Bottle and I think it tastes yummy - and for 1 cup, it's 31 g of protein.   Might be worth giving it a try.  Are you taking Biotin for your hair?

OMG I cannot find any protein that I like.  I have tried all the Necter flavors, all the BA all the Celebrate Unjury chicken.

I gag and puke.  If I drink milk with powder milk I get gas and the runs with major pains and sweats.
I drink Lactose Milk I get same problem with or without powder mix.

I am so exhausted on this search.  I have tried Muscle milk light and can force it down but it takes all day and only 20g.  I have the same with adkins its only 15g.  Isopure made me so thirsty it didn't help.

I am so worried about having issues and losing my hair and energy.  I did the surgery to help increase my energy not make it worse.

I had my surgery on the 24th and i seem to have the same problems. My husband decided to take the opportunity to grill and steak three or four times and assundry other tasty smelling things and I was bad and ate a little bit. Even if i chew it up alot it hurts but at first even water was hurting so i didnt think that much of it, but now I am trying to be more careful... Sorta. We tried adding protien to jello and It all boiled up like egg at the top. I couldnt face it but my hubby says it still tastes good, so maybe tomorrow i will try it a bit. I find that if soup hurts going down and you thin it up a bit with water its easier.

Oh yes I had the VSG and this is my first post here ... probably obvious the way i am rambling about everything.

I had mine done same day and I always felt hungry too.  But I wonder for me is it head hunger?  I start soft foods tomorrow as you probably will too so that will be soooo much better.  How do we get all 60 grams of protein in daily without drinking alot of protein shakes?

I'm in the pureed stage as well, and trying to figure out how to get in at least 48 oz, of fluid when I have to wait 30 minutes before and after eating , and take 30 minutes to eat!  Then my surgeon had said to only drink 4 oz per hour!  Impossible unless I stay up 24 hours a day!  I'm doing my best.  Usually it looks like this:

B: protein shake with Calorie Countdown choc milk and Isopure Zero Carb vanilla protein (1 scoop).  I take my vitamins, pills while I'm drinking this.
WATER - WATER - WATER -
4 oz. coffee - sorry, gotta have it!
L: usually not til 2-3 PM: 4 oz refried beans with a pinch of shredded Jack cheese warmed up til the cheese melts, then a little blob of light sour cream.  OR - 4 oz. ricotta cheese with a pinch of shredded Jack cheese melted in and a little dash of Ragu
WATER - WATER - WATER
D - Usually not until 8 PM or so: 4 oz. Eggbeaters scrambled, then add a little blob of light sour cream to liquify them and run it through the Magic Bullet.  Then a pinch of shredded jack cheese on top melted.
WATER - WATER - WATER or tea.

That's about it.  Funny, first time I ate I thought, "How can I take 30 minutes to eat this tiny bit?"  But you know what?  Sometimes it takes me longer.   Just because I'm being careful.   I can't say I feel full afterwards.   I have overdone on water and got real burpy and pains in my chest.  Glad I worked it out!

Topic: RE: How long were you in the hospital?

My surgery was the afternoon of the 24th and I was discharged early evening on the 25th, couldnt wait to go home! :) I was told I would have to stay a second night if I was not able to keep food down, couldnt walk, or pass gas, or if they couldnt keep my pain under control. Hope you have a speedy recovery!
