Hi Elsa,
I'm Nancy. I had my RNY in July, 2004. About a year or so ago I realized I could eat whatever I wanted and started gaining weight. Long story short, I went to a bariatric surgeon and after a lot of testing, he found that the original surgery had not been done correctly; that the pouch had never been cut away from the old stomach, the staple line was done haphazardly and the stoma had closed up and a fistula formed into the old stomach. So, in essence, I had a 'normal' anatomy. On Jan 21, I had a revision/repair, where the surgeon restapled and cut the old stomach away. He repaired the fistula and ballooned out the stoma.
So here I am again, back at the beginning and to be perfectly honest, feeling very blessed that I was able to have the surgery and get back on track.
I am 5'7" and weighed 280 lbs. at my original surgery. My lowest weight was 160, and I stayed around 175 for a few years. At the time of my revision I was 223 lbs. Today I am 210, so I'm well on my way!.

Did he remove you're old stomach? If so sounds like we had the same hybrid revision. I was hoping to have more intestin bypassed so I would have more malabsorbsion since my origional dr was so conservative but my new dr said that was not nescisary, having less than 50lbs to lose the risk was too high... Makes sence. I had my revision to correct fistula & prevent any additional gain. I would not have had such a big surgery for pure vanity reasons.
Sounds like we have a lot in common!
Also I've been married since1998 we have 3 boys ages 3 thru 12!
