Surgery done and home

Well the surgery went fantastic. The doc said he was able to do exactly what he had wanted and was able to do it laprascopicly (sp).   I felt good except for an AWFUL pain in my left upper chest and back.  Doc thought probably gas, but I still have a bit of that pain.  Also, after the surgery my heart was beating really fast until the next morning when it went back into normal rhythm.  All in all, I'm pleased.  I had the surgery Saturday morning and came home Sunday night.  Glad to be home.   I'm able to drink water,  which I mix with Fruit Refreshers lemonade, and also drinking protein shakes.  I'm tired, but all in all, feeling pretty good.  Sooooo glad it's over and on my way back to a healthy weight.

Congrats.  Sounds like you did really well.  Get some rest and keep hydrated.

Better and better each day.  I am getting the drain out in the morning.  I am getting very emotional.  I dont know why,  I dont miss eating at the moment,  I am looking forward to start going to the gym on wednesday now that the drain will be out.  I can do the treadmill and bikes.  It snowed here so I was not able to walk as much as I would have like,  I am down about 7lbs

 Congrats, it sounds like you did great. It is so nice to hear the good stories right now. I am having my Sleeve Gastrectomy tomorrow 1/26/12 and I have to say, I am nervous. Good luck on your journey.
