Topic: I'm only dow 57lbs
I feel like I'm way behind everyone.
I'm only down 57-58lbs..... how is everyone else doing.
I Have to admit I'm not really watching what I eat and have only been hitting the gym 2X's a week.
Is anyone else in my boat?
I know I'm slacking in the protein and gym department so lets not go crazy with that subject. LOL Just want to know if anyone is where I am with their RNY progress.

A fellow NY'er... upstate at that ( I am too). Yes my hair is falling out, but if you feel my scalp, you can feel new hair growing in. Yippee. I just kept bumping up my protein (I have had extreme issues with protein).

I had a second surgery 6 weeks after the RNY, but not related. It kicked my bottom... and took me longer to recover from. I also got an infection in one of the incisions. But that's my luck. So be prepared for potentially a longer recovery. I had extreme nausea recovering from that second surgery. If you do, ask for meds to help with that.

I check here at least once weekly, am on the rny board most days.

Hope your week is better.

OMG I am so excited to find this message board.  Still figuring out all the things OH has to offer.   My surgery was Jan31st, And jsut when I thought I had things figured out I find myslef full of questions, all over again.

My hair has begun falling out.  Any one else dealing with this?

And I had a gall bladder attack last weekend and now have to have my gall bladder removed.  Have no idea what to expect from that.

Topic: getting frustrated
I'm almost 2 months at almost the same weight (well within 10 pounds) and it's bugging me. I'm doing all I should be. And dummy me I throw out my back. So I'm on light duty now for two weeks. I have a bad back to begin with. One of my goals for doing weight loss surgery was to get under 200 so I could consider fixing that area of my spine ( have several herniated discs). I was bent over and sneezed. Wasn't even doing anything fun this time :D So what are all my almost 6 month out surgery family eating?

I agree with Teri. I also went back to basics if my weightloss stopped for a few weeks. Try not to be frustrated too. Also, try
changing up your calorie counts during the week. My doctor has told me it is ok to go as low as 500 occassionally (I don't know about you and your situation though). Varying the calorie count will restart your metabolism. Also, try adding in some strength training with the cardio. If you would like some good exercises I have some! Good luck! You will be in "one"derland soon!
