Well, day 4 today.  I pulled my OnQ pump yesterday per my Dr., but thankfully my belly is still numb to touch.  I ventured out for a car ride to Blockbuster with my husband and daughter tonight.
I started out the day with a Carnation instant breakfast with some greek yogart and thought I was dieing! My pouch did NOT agree with that!
So, ive backed off to Proti-diets in water and things have settled back down.  I was able to sip some chicken broth as well.
Anyone else out there have surgery this week?
Ive finally taken off the compression hose.........no sexy factor there!!
And Im ready to go and walk at the gym, but I tire easily and feel weak as a kitten.

I still get tired real fast. Going grocery shopping yesterday (my kids still have to eat), I got exhausted REAL fast. I came home took a half hour nap (grandpa was here with them), and felt wonderful again.

I had surgery on Thursday and am having a hard time understanding what my tummy is telling me. I can't diferentiate between hungry and full. Can you tell me how you feel with these sensations? I have had 41 grams of protien today and I still think I am starving!

Good Question!  I had my surgery Thursday too! My husband burnt his lunch and the smell drove me crazy for hours. I was starving for real food. I talked myself down and had chicken broth that filled me up and calmed me down. The protein drinks feel like they go right through me. Jello has been good and popsicles. I have also been making sno cones with an ice shaver. Hang in there!

remember, don't do too much at one time, especially since you're healing. I had my surgery on the 11th, and haven't been to the gym yet. I've been thinking about starting this week, so I'm pretty sure tomorrow it is.

Rhythm, it's hard to tell right now. I measure my food 2 oz at a time. I can hardly get through a whole egg, most of the time I don't actually. What you might be feeling is head hunger. I've heard it's VERY common post op. My doctor said we should strive for atleast 60 grams of protein a day, and 64 oz of fluids as well. You're doing really well if you're getting 41 grams of protein in 4 days out!
