Less than a month to a whole new you adventure! Congratulations, Nichole! ... It is natural (heck, it's normal and sane!) to be nervous. I just reminded myself that I was in a risky place no matter what -- I was pre-diabetic, my knees were starting to hurt (which could lead to surgery down the road) and I faced a laundry-list of health risks if I didn't take THIS risk.
I also made lists of the many many benefits of the weight loss. I can tell you now, even at the half-way mark, one of my list items is already coming true -- it's a lot more fun dancing with my husband :)

Hi I haven't had my surgery as of yet but have been told to expect a week 3 nights at the hotel depending when you are going down prior to surgery and after the surgery you will be one night in the hotel if everything goes smoothly as I am sure it will.... don't quote me on this but this is what I have been told..

I am having my surgery in Morgantown, WV with Dr. Akkary. I have chosen to have the VSG. I am really nervous, but anxious of the long term weight loss. So many thoughts keep going through my mind that I don't even like to think about it. I don't want there to be a chance where negative thought outway the positive ones.

I'm scheduled for VSG on Jan 16th with Dr. Alvarez. I am so nervous. I'm supposed to start my pre-op liquid diet on Jan 9, but I'm going to start on Jan 1st instead.
My mom always said, "What you do on New Year's is what you'll do all year." ...not that I want to be on a liquid diet all year! I hope it will signify the beginning of a new lifestyle.
Anyone else headed to Dr. Alvarez around the 16th?

i'm having my surgery on jan 7th meeting the anesthesiologist and the dietician on the 6th,
i'm just looking to know how long was your stay at faxton st lukes hospital and how was your stay , wich hotel you stay at , ( we are planing on staying at the holiday inn) just looking for a heads up ..
