Thank You so much for your kind words of encouragement.  I am assuming that you have either had, or are going to have surgery.  Which ever the case may be, we wish you the very best.  I am just a bundle of nerves, waiting for my surgery date to finally get here.

I have found that I ate for all the wrong reasons. I am a carb addict and wil need to restrict that to be sucessful, I also found that I ate when I hurt.. Somehow If I had trouble figuring something out I used food. Why I would think that eating would take away pain in my leg... I'll never know, but knowing that now, I stop and ask myself, what do I feel, am I hungry?, Thirsty?, in Pain? or my feelings hurt?

When I answer that question, I can make a better choice how to fix it. Food only fixes hunger.. the rest I have had to figure out other fixes.

That being said, I am not anywhere near done.. but I feel that I can with God's help and the staff at my program, I can finally be sucessful and will have support for a minimum of 5 years.

That doesn't fix it all but it is a great start.

I am scheduled for Jan 6th!!  Both excited and scared

I am getting ready for my surgery, scheduled January 6th,  I am very excited, too.
Because I found out I was a compulsive eater, smoker, I was advised to seek counciling,&  after this past year of working on my impulsivenes I am ready to go for it!  My biggest fear was to regain the weight by going back to how I use to eat!!  Good luck to both of us, I will be thinking of you the day after my surgery!!

Yeah!!  I am having Lap Band on the 6th also.  I did pre-opt today!!
