Oh totally! 2010 is going to be wonderful!!! Time to pop a pain pill and sleep the day away. I'm only 5 days out and I hear sleep is the best medicine! Have a great day!

Same here - I went to 6 seminars at different hospitals in the tristate area and something they always preached about was the importance of the protein shakes especially after surgery. I don't understand about not wanting you to "drink your calories" because the calorie content is limited anyway. And all the hospitals I've visited were Centers of Excellence. My insurance wouldn't have covered my surgery otherwise.

I think I'm glad I'm on the protein shakes, too, because I think it would be harder for me not knowing a specific place my protein was coming from. it's much easier measuring out the shakes and knowing I'm getting the exact amount of protein I need per day. I don't want to lose my hair!!! lol

I think protein is required - usually through the shakes...definitely check up on that with your doctor.

I just had surgery, so everything I'm on now is in chewable form. I found the best deals at Nashua Nutrition (www.nashuanutrition.com), and my order arrived the day after I placed it without any expedited shipping or anything. I'm taking Celebrate multi as well as iron and calcium. A one months supply of all three was only about $45.

I drink mostly Isopure but I also have Vanilla Whey Protein (from allthewhey.com) to mix it up flavor-wise.

Good luck ladies! :)
