LOL ... I know how you feel, I lost weight over the years and ALWAYS gain it back plus it's siblings, aunts uncles etc...
The Dr. took a B4 pic at my Pre-op visit but YES I do plan on taking front, side and back profile pics and my measurements. I will do this on Sunday as well once I reach the hotel. I am having surgery in NC. I am also going to get an outfit to wear in all my pics maybe a tank and leggings.
How is your Liquid diet going?
What time is your surgery?

I am a planner and I have been gathering for my Jan 15th surgery date.  The Dr.'s office has given me a whole pamphlet of advice for vitamins, after diet and other things I need to know.  I have a basket of all my vitamins ready to go.  I dont have my food for after quite yet, I am working on just getting enough food for the 14 day fast I began today.

I am going to buy my protein powder and drinks for after tomorrow.

I pour over this website to get all the info I need, like, what to take for the hospital and I will prob pack that bag next week.

Topic: RE: Protein Shakes: For Everyone?
for our pre-op liquid only diet, we were asked to use world wid pure protein from Trader Joe's or Fresh and Easy.
After surgery for the first mont, we are supposed to use isopure whey protein or isopure drinks.   They have this brand at GNC.

Good luck,
Nita

Hi Ahari,

I wanted to invite you to be a friend, but OH does not find your profile.   Do you have one set up?  Do you have an email address?

I just thought we should be surgery buddies.

Are you going to take 'before' pictures?  and write down your weight and all your measurements?

I will do that tomorrow or Sunday.  I think it's too easy to forget how bad it really was before the surgery.  A couple of years ago I lost about 50 pounds and I forgot what it was like to be so heavy.  Then when I found the 50 pounds again and a few of his friends.... it all came back.  I was just surprised how fast I forgot the problems I have.

One example, my husband and I are both heavy.  After I lost weight, I could go up and down stairs easily.  He would take one step at a time and groan a lot.  I could not remember how hard the stairs were.  I remember now though.....

Well, one thing I worry about is dying, so I finally decided if I was going to die, I would prefer it be while I was under anesthesia.   I'm just saying......

And then, when I question whether I really want to do this, I look at the before and after pictures.  A lady on the Michigan board suggested that to me and it does help.

Then I read a comment on this board from someone who had recently had the surgery.  She said she got all worked up and then it was really nothing to worry about.  Comments like that reassure me.

I try to stay busy so I'm not thinking about it all the time.

And finally, I take Ambien at night so I can go to sleep.  Otherwise, I lay there and worry about it.

Hope you can use some of the suggestions.  Where are you from?  Do you know what time your surgery is?
