Thank you, and good luck to you too. The day is almost here and I am sooooo ready for it. I just keep thinking I have a bunch of stuff left to do. I will be hitting GNC today and see what I can find. I called and asked them if they had what I needed, and man were they snobby. Sheesh. I felt like saying, "I'll show you snobby, I haven't eaten in a week!" :)

Belgium! That isn't far from us. Are you living in Belgium or just having your surgery there? I live in Frankfurt, Germany and will be having surgery on Feb. 3rd.

Missy,
I have always wanted to do the "Average Jo Triathalon" here in town - so that is one of my goals for this year. Other than that, I have lots of little mini goals and plans that being healthier and thinner are going to be a huge (oh that was funny - huge) blessing! One is in July I will take a group of kids to New Orleans for a youth gathering - just to be thinner on the plain, and then for all the walking we will do - I am looking forward to the changes and how it will help me in my job, my family, and life in general!
Blessings to you and everyone in the new year!
Christopher

Topic: Excited!
So is everyone getting excited about next week! I am and I can't wait!!!!!! I want to get a move on my new life, and get through this first couple of months fast.
So what is everyones goal over the next year? I am planning a 5K with my sister in July. Anyone taking any trips, or doing anything with family to celebrate this new life. My reward for my hard work over the next six month is going to be a trip to Flordia to see my best friend. Let me know, I like to hear what people have planned to bring in this NEW year!

I am still on my diet too. My date is the 20th. I have tried GNC Whey Isolate, Nector (which is AWESOME), and Chike so far. The Nector is a little watered down but it is drinkable! Good luck on your diet. I hope it gets better. It took me about 4 days to get use to it.
Topic: I have a new Date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I now have a new surgery date.......Jan.21,2010!!!!!
I got the call on Wednesday around 3:00pm. I found out that I have to have an IVC filter put in. So I go complete my pre-op on Monday at the hospital and then they will do the filter once we finish.
I have to go back to see the Doctor on Friday to sign my consent forms. And then I have to be at the hospital on Thursday morning for surgery. Once I got off the phone, I got really nervous....wow
I just thought I would post an update. Congrats to all the upcoming surgeries this month. And I hope all of you that have had your surgery had a smooth and complication free procedure.
Take care all,

Topic: RE: Where's all my 1/4/2010 girls at?
Hey, I am here. Had my RNY on the 4th. Didn't really have any problems with the surgery. I am on the pureed stage right now and looking ahead to see what I can have at the soft stage. I don't think I'll be able to start that stage until my 2 week doctor's visit scheduled for next Wednesday.
I am still trying very hard to get in all my water and protein. The dietician says we should try to be eating between 700 -900 calories at the two week mark. I will have to try a little harder if I'm going to reach that.
What I find strange is that sometimes I am starving and sometimes I don't care if I ever eat again. I've got to figure out what causes those cycles.
Anyway, I am so happy my surgery is done and I can get on with the process of living!
How about you?
Sandi
