Hi -- I haven't posted here as I didn't realize this board existed. I am having my surgery tomorrow and am feeling nervous, so I am all over the place here! Hope everyone else is calm and doing well!

I am doing very well since January 6th, lost 29lbs so far maybe more by now. Just hang in there you will be fine. Walk in the hospital as soon as you feel like it. You will slowly start feeling better as you heal. I made it ok and I know you will. I will pray for you. Keep me posted ok. Good Luck! You will be fine...

I am very tired.... lol! I started an all liquid diet on friday (have to do for 2 weeks before surgery) and as such have lost almost 10 pounds since then! I know it wont continue to come off that fast... but it makes it easier to stick to! After a few days of being ravenous... now I am doing ok with my shakes.... but it still sucks to not be able to eat!
As far as how I am feeling about my surgery... well... I have too much to do between now and then... dr appts and full time college... so until the day before, it probably wont hit me! I am excited... but not the jumping up and down and smiling all the time excited!

I am very thankful I am having an easier time than you ladies. I am a little weak. like I am recovering from a bout with the flu. I have absolutely NO PAIN! I am still on clear liquids (broth, jello, crystal light, etc. My main concern is making sure I am taking the correct medication for my hypertension and type II diabetes. I see my surgeon tomorrow and my promary on thursday. I am walking slowly on the treadmill and will increase the duration and intensity as my strength returns (5-10min 2x day) Gook Luck Ladies, it can only get better.

I had my surgery Jan 5th. I feel 110% back to normal...I say this because the amount of energy I have gained from losing weight has been incredible. If somone had told me there was a potential to lose 45 lbs in 2 weeks I would have told them they were CRAZY! I had a bit of pain in the begining, but otherwise it was completley tolerable. Now, nothing hurts and I'm inbetween pureed foods and starting solids. Its fantastic. You'll be in my prayers for a safe and easy recovery!

Hi everyone! I had my RNY on Jan 15th at 4pm....I didn't have to bowel prep but I was clear liquids for 2 days. I had some major nausea in the hospital. I was discharged home at 2pm the next day. After I was able to walk and take in enough fluids, I was set free! I was very uncomfortable in the hospital. The bed was not my favorite!!! I was very puffy after surgery from all of the fluids so I am refraining from weighing myself just yet. My first post-op appt is tomorrow....1.5 hrs away!

Hey I am not quit sure how to use this web site yet. I saw that you row, did you row for wwra? My entire family loves rowing and I too rowed for a couple of years. anyway I can't seem to find our correspondence on her so hopefully this will get to you! I am home and doing okay. I know I will feel better as the week goes on. I am sure my yuk is from anesthsia as the incisions dont hurt at all. I have been checking my temp, I ran a fever this weekend, it is 98 right now! I am getting only about 33 oz today which is the very minimum, but since I dont think I will be feeling yucky tomorrow so I can get started earlier.
