Topic: RE: Hello? Where are all the January Homies?
I am here Krizzti! I check in every now and then. I have been so busy since I have been able to get back into my routine.  I have three kids under the age of 6 so I keep myself busy.  The only quiet time I have is when I am at work. LOL
I think as far as food, I am doing ok.  I have a yogurt in the morning, then some soup or something soft for lunch, and then dinner. I am doing better on my water but I am only getting 24-32 ozs of water.  That is the hard part for me but I am working on it. I am still having a hard time, eating food. What ever food I am eating, I try to make sure it has some kind of protein in it but I am still not eating that much.  I have lost 31lbs since surgery, and a total of 42lbs since the pre-op diet! I feel so good, and not hurting as much any more.

I'm also consuming anywhere from 600-800 calories a day.  Like you, I HATE walking.  Tomorrow will be 6 weeks post op so I've been doing low impact fitness class for the past week and a half.  Starting tomorrow I can slowly start intenstfying and adding strength training.  Is there a gym near you?  Things that I know are fun are any kind of activity in the water, a dance class like zumba, etc.,  I find that with fitness class I burn my calories and develop relationships with the other people in the classes.  The hospital that I had my procedure at offers group fitness classes for post weightloss patients.  I passed it up because my gym is less than a mile away from my house.  Whatever you find you decide to do, keep it up. The important thing is to keep moving whatever it is that you find you enjoy.

hey guys i had surgery on jan 7th. I was reading your posts and I just wanted to say something that was told to me.... "just because you can eat it, doesn't mean you should" I live by that saying when it comes to what I eat. But I don't really eat too much... it seems like I live on string cheese.

anyways best of luck to you guys! I hope you are losing the pounds like I am! :P

I'm here Krizzti - it is quiet here.  We need to be more active you Januaryiers!  Let us know what everyone is up to.  We are now way into our second month - how is it going?  I've only lost 24lbs. - I guess that's ok, but the last couple weeks have been slooooow.  My calorie intake has gone from around 200 to around 600-800 and my exercise level has gone down from 5 days to about 3 a wk.  Ok, Ok, I know what I'm doing wrong - get my butt out and exercise.  I'm eating all the right foods though - does that count?!  :)   Is everyone else starting to eat a little more calories?  Had a Nut session this morning, and she said I should be working toward 1200 eventually and try to not ever go below 1000 - AND exercise.  What do y'all do for exercise?  Walking is sooo boring to me - I like my son's elliptical but I only get over to his house about 3 times a week.  Has anyone gotten any exercise videos - I looked at them but didn't know which one I could tolerate.  Any ideas?

Topic: RE: Plateau? Already? Noooooo!
I was down 30# in the first month, then since Feb 1, only lost 3.   I finally called the nut last week to have her review my diet.  She says everything's great and that this is normal and to give the scale a break.  Eventhough I haven't lost most I can really see the changes in my body and how my clothes fit.  So hang in there.

Yes, I can relate to this- always feeling cold now!
That is until I have finished my small plate of food and then I get this "hot and bothered feeling", I guess that is my limit reached warning!

I had surgery Jan 21.  I used to be hot all the time, but no, after surgery, I am always cold.  I know that the anestesia after effects can make you chilly, but I think it is your body's metabolism changing.   I used to throw off the covers, now I fight my husband for them!
