Count me in! I did the first two weeks a couple months prior to surgery but my knees really bothered me. But I think I can hang this time! I already have the first 3 weeks of pod casts on my ipod... ready to go!

That sounds really good. I'm gonna look it up. I've been talking about doing a 5k with my husband. Let me know who else is in. I live in NJ so that weather is really starting to warm up and all the snow is melted.

Topic: Couch Potato to 5K Running Program
Anyone interested in beginning the Couch Potato to 5K (CP25K) running program?
The program starts you off walking/jogging at intervals - walking for longer times, jogging for shorter. Each week incorporates a bit more jogging. For instance, the first week you might have intervals of walking 90 seconds, jogging 60. (Can't remember exactly). You can use a stopwatch to keep track, but I found it's much easier to download a podcast made for the CP25K program. I use the podcasts at http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/podcasts/podcasts.htm l - he tells you when to start (a 5-minute warm-up walk) then when to run, when to return to walking, etc. The music's pretty good. Make sure you download Week 1 to begin with!
I started CP25K in July (at around 245 lbs) and was SO PROUD of myself every time I'd finish up a walk/run. I think I was up to Week 4 or 5 by December, then quit doing it because I'd get so soaked with snow.
If I could/can do this, anyone can.
I'm getting back into it on Monday morning.

Well I can confirm what most of you have said. Strugglin mostly with water. I hate the taste and can't do the crystal light stuff anymore. Found Strum's Carmel apple cider mix for 15 calories but can't find it on the shelf anymore!!! So using hawaian punch (SF) and doing the best I can.
Exercise is an issue but mostly because all I can do is walk right now and the ice has made it bad, so when I shop at stores I walk my hour. (walking in the apt doesn't work so good.) but after I heal better I will do more. We should have good weather soon so I will walk outside then too.
Small WOW. People at work have noticed. It isn't a secret but I haven't "announced it". I am waiting for 3 lbs more to use the Wii at my folks.. and another inch around the middle and I can wear some new old jeans...
I've struggled with meats but shrimp works so I bought a 2# package at walmart for $10... it will last quite a while. LOL... Fighting some infections and issue with one incision which is getting better.
Having to make a new check list to include all the vitamins etc to make sure I get them in, (can't take with this, need to take with that, etc.. )
Problem.. snacking on goldfish pretzels... I shouldn't snack but found myself at work snacking...
I want to do this just right but need to deal with reality.. If I'm doing ok (losing) with having this or cherrios.. I think I might allow it... What do you think?
Overall, very glad I did it and excited to have friends to talk to about it!

Topic: RE: I want Twizzlers in a bad way.
This is so funny because Twizzlers are the ONE thing sweet that I have wanted ever since surgery, but I won't do it. Dangit. They sound SO good!
Topic: RE: Is anyone else FREEZING?
Same here! Before surgery I used to get so embarrased because I would get sweaty and hot over the littlest activity. Now I'm constantly under a blanket or in warm clothes. My hands and feet especially! I also notice it more when the weight is falling off pretty steady.

hi all....as of March 4th I am down 54 pounds (this includes my pre-op diet)....I feel good. I can't really tell a difference but other people say that they can tell so I guess that's good. My boyfriend said he noticed a big difference when we were....ya know....that was cool. I know I definitely felt more sexy and into it. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi all....I miss my January girls! No major WOWs a few small ones. I bought a pair of jeans this weekend (mind you stretchy jeans) but they were a size 22. I was in a very tight 28. Also went to a concert Saturday and the seat wasn't digging into my sides. I was very excited about that one. Other than that I feel pretty good, no complaints and just rolling along. I forget to take my vitamins some days and I probably am not getting enough protein. I sometimes have to tell myself to go eat. What a weird sensation for me. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. Stay in touch!

I had my surgery 1/25 and now I am feeling great!! Especially since we have been having some warmer weather I have so much more energy!! I told my husband I want to go bike riding, he couldn't believe it!! haha My right side is still healing, was having more muscle soreness on that side, but it is getting better. My husband is joining a gym with me so we can workout together!! Right now I am on soft solids, so I have been eating alot of baked fish and veggies, had a few bites of baked potato- but that is my weakness so I am trying to stay away from carbs for now. I am still trying to up my liquid intake, right now I am around 50-55 oz a day and vitamins too.....I dont really like to chew them!
