That's a great loss. I am about 12 weeks post-op and I feel really good. The holidays and get togethers are getting difficult for me because some cravings are coming back. However, I am resisting!!! Yea! I was working out like a mad woman and now I am getting lazy. I need to pick that back up. Over all I think I am doing well and I feel really well.

I'm 10 weeks post-op. I've had a few bad days where things were extremely difficult, but I've experienced many good days and a few weeks ago everything just seemed to click.  I'm down somewhere between 45-50 pounds, not as much as some of you, but I'm proud of every single one of those pounds and have worked very hard for them.

I am starting this tomorrow!  I can't wait. My sister and I are doing a 5k July 3, it gives me 11.5 weeks to get ready for this.  I am so excited! Let's keep each other updated about once a week, sooner if we can do it! Good luck everyone!

Hello!
I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  I had my surgery on Jan. 12, 2010 and I feel wonderful!  I can't always tell the changes but other people can.  It's nice to hear the compliments and i've definitely noticed it in my clothes.  As of last week I am down 63 lbs!  I'm so excited and can't believe I actually did it and am feeling good!  Have a great week everyone!

Hi Everyone,
Congrats to everyone on your success. I had my surgery on the 27th. I'm doing well. I'm on solids and seem to be doing good with foods. I am struggling with my protein. I'm still drinking shakes and trying to eat more protein. The problem with the shakes are that they are 11 oz and have 30 grams of protein. Well, the nurse says it should take me 3 hours to drink 1 shake. However, doing that it would take me 9 hours to drink 3 shakes to get in 90 grms of protein from my shakes alone. I can drink 1 shake in about an hour and not have any problems or bad reactions. She says that i should only be drinking 4 oz in 1 hour. I'm just frustrated because i'm trying to follow the guidelines, but i find myself doing what i have to do to get my protein in and drinking a shake in 1 hour vs. 3. In any case, Im losing weight and think I need to cutback on carbs. I'm really focusing on getting in my protein first but think I need to be more aware of the amount of carbs I'm taking in. I want this to be a lifestyle change. It's tough but i'm not giving up! Thanks to all of you for being so honest and for your support.
