Hi !

My doc did not give me a list, but told me to call his office to check whenever I wanted to take anything.  I was told to do this for the first year.  I recently did and the nurse checked while I was on the phone.  Hope you feel better.

Hey everyone this is my first time posting, I'm more of a lurker but I thought this might be the best place to ask.

I remember getting a list of things you can't take after surgery, certain medications but can I take cold medicine???   I feel a cold coming on and I'm wanting to take some DayQuil/NyQuil.

Does anyone know if I can take something like that??

HA!!  I know what you mean!!  I would get really irritated at that because I could barely catch my breath!  But.....  it gets better slowly.  And some days I can push myself more than others.  But I gotta tell you by struggling early on will make you really appreciate how strong you are when you are able to jog 25 min without stopping and not gasping for air and not dripping with sweat.  I didn't think it could happen but it did!!!  Keep going!!

Hey Celia-

If I can do it anyone can.  Couch to 5k has a website if you google it.  But, this guy does a free pod cast for each week that will provide ok music and tell you when to walk and when to run.  Check it out at http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/podcasts/podcasts.htm  Let me know how it goes for ya!  Keep on truckin!

I buy the plain greek yogurt and add a little da vinci sugar free syrup to it. I have it every morning for breakfast and it gives me 15 grams of protein.

You can always have your protein shake which is easy if you mix it the night before and leave it in the frig. In the morning I just mix it up really quick then I'm out the door. Or try protein bars. I bought 2 different kinds. South Beach's peanut butter has 8g of protein or Fiber One Chocolate peanut butter which I thing has 5 or 6 gram's of protein. There quick and easy!

That's great Christy. I am still working on Week 1. When the guy is telling me I should start to feel winded but not totally winded, I am dying. Just goes to show how totally out of shape I am in.

I'm not a morning person.  I get up just in enough time to shower and dash out the door to drive to work.

Anyone have suggestions for quick breakfasts?
