I managed to get Christmas at home so I probably have it easier than you. Nothing like Mom's cooking even if I have been at it for a few years.
What kind of a diet are they putting you on? I don't have my preop until 12/21 and they haven't said anything about before the surgery, only after.
Can I ask what part of the country you are in? I am in Sacramento California.
In case we don't talk again before, have a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! We both have so much to be thankful for.

Super excited utica here i come we will be there the 5th liquid diet for 3 days prior i think that's gonna be the worst for me and my familly members staying in the hotel room while they go eat ..lol gym here i come hehe well good luck everyone on your surgeries !!

I know! Getting through these holidays and trying to lose a little weight before surgery is rough. I start my 2 week pre-op diet on Dec. 22nd which is during the time when 5 of our kids are here spending the Christmas holidays with us. We'll also be spending time at my in-laws. My mother-in-law goes all out with the cooking and I have a specific menu to follow. I'll be cooking up my own meals while she's cooking up feasts! ~ Chris

update!! All my tests came back good and my surgery date is for sure set for Jan. 11th. I have an appointment with my surgeon on Dec. 15th and then I see the anesthesiologist and pre-opt nurse on Dec. 17th! Woot!! Woot!!
