CONGRATS!!!!! Iwish you the best with it. I am scheduled for the 26th also, so we will have to keep tabs on each other!  Are you having RNY?

January 4th looks like a great day for the new me as well!  We should all give ourselves a pat on the back for taking this big step. I know for me it's been huge, as my insurnce won't cover the procedure despite doing all the pre-op stuff and saying I was a great candidate and that "they" the insurance provider actually felt badly for me becuase my husband's employer actually elected to stop paying for the procedure for everyone, under any cir****tance in 2006!  (I started the process in late 2007.)

What a long road this has been. My MD recomended RNY to me almost 11 years ago and I was insistent that I could do it without surgery. So here I am after WW, Nutri-system, WW, medi-fast, opti-fast, WW, exersicing like a crazy person, oh and did I mention WW again... only to finally realize my body is different and this is not a reflection of how hard I work to stay health and eat right, it a reflection of genetics and I can do something about it!

Congrats again to us all - and can't wait to see how we all show the world what we are made of!

I would be happy to have you add me as a friend. I can't have too much support. My family is supportive but not interested in talking about it much... I already am scared and excited,,, concerned and thrilled... I just know I can't stay this way any longer... I need this badly..so I will get through these feelings. I know it is easier knowing I'/m not alone.

My surgery is January 26th with Dr. Wallace in Milwaukee..Starting weight 371 by my scale for now...

My surgery is January 18th also, but I am having the Vertical Sleeve procedure.  I am having the same feelings.
