Good luck to you!! I dont have to go on a 2 week liquid diet but I am still trying to lose some weight before the surgery. I have been planning my diet in all the stages for after the surgery. I dont think I have ever planned my food before, even while dieting. Keep me updated on you progress!!

Hi there! I'm set for a January 5th surgery date. I'm having my surgery at a center of excellence and they require the IVC filter for people over a certain weight or BMI.something along those lines. I'm having mine placed on Tuesday, then heading down to Texas for Christmas, but ill be sure to post abou my experience from my blackberry once I'm fully awake and thinking clearly!

I am also scheduled for January 11th! Cant wait!

Hello Jim. Thanks for the prayers, same goes to you. I dont have any health problems YET, but I could see how my weight will eventually be the reason for those. I hope with the surgery you will have no more health problems and will be able to enjoy your grandkids. I feel that is one of my biggest reasons for having the surgery not just for me but for my children, My husband also fears me having the surgery, but the way I see it is that I am killing myself now more then the surgery could. I am sure after the surgery when you are healthy and full of energy your wife will see this as a blessing. My husband is scared for me, but is supporting me the best he can and I love him so much more for that. I have a recipe for a good protein meal for after the surgery, as soon as I can remember where I put it I will post it for everyone. Good luck to you Jim, hope to hear from you soon.
