I am also Jim and am scheduled for January 13th. I am having trouble getting my wife to back me and I know it is not possible to have the R-Y without her support.
I have been overweight since the late 1950's and have not ever been able to loose and keep it off for any time. I am getting tired of not being able to get into normal clothes. Also I want to be around to see my grandchildren grow up.
I will keep you in my prayers and I hope you will do the same for me.

Well, I'm back on the schedule. After a 50 day delay, I'm back on the schedule

Topic: We bothe have our surgery dates all set up
After jumping through the many hoops involved with Tricare, my wife and I have our surgery dates all set. I am having mine January 18, 2010 and my wife's is February 8, 2010. We originally wanted to get it done at the same time, but the surgeon said NO. So that's what we are living with. Looking forward to a brighter and healthier future.

Thanks for the ideas, if u have any oter receipes please share! Where can I find rum extract? I see Vanilla and Almond in the stores never coconut or rum sounds YUMMY. I also was told Davinci syrups are great to add as well.

I am also scared, but excited. I can't get my doctors office to reply to my emails and I am getting a bit upset over that whole deal. If you would lik ,request me as a friend so that we can stay in contact after our procedures.

What a way to start the New Year, with a New Birthday..or shall I say Re-Birthday Day. I am scheduled for the 7th also. Good Luck to everyone on their surgeries for the month of January. Wishing you all safe and speedy recovers.

I'm scheduled for a VSG on 1/19 in Orlando. :) How are you feeling? I am so excited and scared at the same time.
