Congratulations on your surgery date! It really finally feels good to have that date, and set your mind to it! Mine is two days after yours on the 20th! I am totally looking forward to it, and scared, and all the feeling that come with it. Good luck!

I am so excited that this i finally happening. Insurance has an exclusion policy so i am paying cash. Not sure what i am more nervous about the surgery or writing the check.....

Well here we go I am all scheduled up and still anxious. Now in the mode to read as much as possible on these forums to calm the nerves.

My doctor required me to do a month pro-op but the day I left his office. I told myself that I was going to get my head around it now. I started three weeks before my pre-op officially started and I have lost 30 pds as of this morning. It has not been easy but I am making it. Good Luck on whatever you decide.

I think because I am under 300lbs my doctor is not making me do pre-op diet, but he said it wouldnt hurt to lose 20lbs before hand. So I may decide to go on my own liquid diet.

I will be following you in two days, I am scheduled for 9AM on the thirteenth. I have been on a mostly liquid diet for a week now just to get used to it. I find it hard to get the complete amount of protein needed without any supplement.
