I've seen lots of great recipes for the pureed stage, but I'm wondering what all my January 2010 homies are ACTUALLY eating day to day?

Hi Krizzti, I am still doing soups, cheese, shakes, yogurt., cereal that wilts in milk.  I can have saltines for crunch, or tummy issues.  At one month I can eat chicken and eggs, etc. but not beef yet.  What are you eating?

Carnation Instant Breakfast, yogurt (can only stand small amounts of it), applesauce, mashed potatoes ... i puree whatever meat (chicken, pork chops, steak) the family's having with some cream of chicken soup and use it as a gravy... and just started protein shakes.  I've had scrambled eggs, although I was never an egg girl to begin with... i would give my left leg for some saltines - or toast!

I have already been moved to the Transition diet so im eating chicken salad, shirmp, Tuna, deviled ham but i have no clue what that is haha i can also start chicken breast, beef when i feel ready but i havent yet.  I have been eating can of chicken with some mayo and dill relish omg it tasted so good after having eggs and cottage cheese for two weeks lol. It so crazy how were all on different diets. Good luck guys :)

It is crazy that each of us has a different diet.  I am cleared to eat anything that I want with the exception of pasta and sticky foods.

Yesterday I ate some chili for lunch and shrimp and green beans for dinner

Today I ate an egg, and turkey sausage with cheese mixed in.

It is funny that were all eating something different.  I've been eating eggs & cheese, soft fruit in it's on juice like peaches, yogurt, cheese, deli meat, refried beans, potatoes.  I want a pickle soooo bad...lol...but I'm not brave enough to try that yet.   But I am having a hard time finding some protein that I can actually tolerate.  Any suggestions?

Oh my gosh!  I have been craving pickles too!  What is with that?  I do protein shake 1-2x a day, low fat cottage cheese, greek yogurt with fruit at the bottom, pureed chicken, pureed broc, mashed sweet potatoes with some apple sauce, cooked and pureed peaches, soups, and fudgie pops!

I tried some crab meat... NOT pureed and thought I would quite literally die,  The pain was so intense and waves of it kept coming till I was able to throw it up... Lesson learned!

I think I will start to venture out and try some eggs... are hard boiled yolks to much for us right now? I think I will start out scrambled or hard boiled whites. 

I can't wait till our food options are more varied!

I started on puree and now am on mechanical soft foods. so breakfast is egg with cheese mini banana.   lunch is tuna and light miracle whip.  dinner is fish with a small side of veg or yogurt etc.
I had infection so with antibiotic I am trying to add yogurt but found shrimp good too. When my father was in the hospital my choices were limited so I had more cottage cheese and yogurt, string cheese and hard boiled eggs.  I can manage about 1/2 cup per meal. just tried On-Cor turkey in gravy... gross.... yuk... but will find a back up. Water volume is the hardest to keep up.. I have two fortified milks each day so 24 protein there helps. doc increased my protein requirement to 75 g per day but the 64 oz of water was hard enough. now he wants 80..

Try Isopure as a replacement to some of your water - each bottle has about 50 grams of protein and it tastes like gatorade.

 I was craving pickles a few weeks out and I did drink some of the juice! I was worried about an ulcer but it was what I wanted. I did start my period 3 days later so I assumed I was craving salty stuff!!!
