I miss chewing!  The sf popsicles are my only "bite" fix.  I have cheated and started eating tuna fish mashed with a fork and some mayo.  The tuna fish in the little packets is 2.5 ounces with a whopping 16 grams of potein.  Since I am regularly missing my protein goal everyday, I had to jump on this.  I am already sick of the protein shakes.  The Healthwise Amaretto Cappaccino is good if you blend it, otherwise its gloppy, and it is a delicious start to the day if you were a regular coffee drinker before.
I am surprised I still have little stitches poking out?  Is it just me?  Can he pluck them out?  They are getting annoying now that I have started wearing CLOTHES again.
I have an issues with menstral cramps.  I bought some liquid adult tylenol, only to find out that it has high fructose corn syrup in it.  I heard a rumor that Walmart has a sf brand?  Anyone else had any experience with liquid tylenol or have found a sf alternative?   I can't keep sipping the tylenol w/codeine left over from prescription; I am tired of dozing off in the middle of conversations!
I've started walking 15 minutes a day on the treadmill at home.  Thank God we bought that thing years ago.  It's stuck in a basement corner, but it still works and theres no way I'm going to risk falling outside.  So my energy level is finally up.
I go for another appt with Dr. I on Thursday, and I will put in my best request for the soft food diet!  I think I'm ready.

Doing well!  I don't have the energy I had expected to have by now, but hoping that will change soon.  Here in Minnesota it's been ice, snow, and more ice ever since surgery, so am trying to squeeze in time on the treadmill.  It's a chore to get food in - never thought in a million years that would be said by me!  ha ha

I miss Starbucks DESPERATELY! I miss diet soda, Vernor's was my favorite. I am not hungry THANK GOD, but definitely bored with my choices. I am so happy to have the surgery behind me, but with an open cut I still have a constant reminder that something major has happen to my insides. I would love to workout (some days) but  other days I feel drained and unmotivated. I believe its a combinations of the blues and the dreary weather. When the weather breaks I think it will feel sooo much better. WISHING EVERYONE THE BEST!  HUGS

I am feeling pretty good, although a little more tired in the evenings than normal.

I am struggling to get in all the protein, but also to calculate it as well. I am on soft foods and can only comfortably manage 1/4 cup at a time.

We made a thick bean and chicken soup the other day - how much protein is in that?
I have taken a fancy to a slice of blue cheese at night- how do you work out the protein in a smallish slice? (Does everyone weigh their foods? Can an oz be a measure of volume as well as weight?)

I drink a protein shake for breakfast with skim milk (28g protein) and try to add half a spoonful (10g protein) at lunch to my puree.
I think I am going to have to sit and figure it out seriously, if i am going to succeed at this!
Also don't drink 64 oz daily,mostly I manage 48oz.

As an excuse I work full time and when I start working I don't stop for several hours- eating snacks is not an option and thus why I end up drinking 32 oz of fluid after dinner, just to make up my daily allowance!
