I have a VSG date....and I'm nervous

I'm scheduled for VSG on Jan 16th with Dr. Alvarez.  I am so nervous.  I'm supposed to start my pre-op liquid diet on Jan 9, but I'm going to start on Jan 1st instead. 

My mom always said, "What you do on New Year's is what you'll do all year."  ...not that I want to be on a liquid diet all year!  I hope it will signify the beginning of a new lifestyle. 

Anyone else headed to Dr. Alvarez around the 16th?

My sister, Tremory40, had her VSG done by Dr. Alvarez in Feb of 2009.  She is also an RN.  She said that the care was awesome and she would recommend he and his staff to anyone.  Coinsidentally, I am having my surgery for VSG on 1/26/10 in BAton Rouge due to insurance coverage.  You will do great.  My sister has.
