Good luck to you!! I dont have to go on a 2 week liquid diet but I am still trying to lose some weight before the surgery. I have been planning my diet in all the stages for after the surgery. I dont think I have ever planned my food before, even while dieting. Keep me updated on you progress!!

I am scheduled for VSG on Jan 8th. I still have my upper GI test on Dec30th. I am keeping my fingers crossed none of my test results affect my surgery date.

This is my fist time posting. It's nice to know there is web support in addition to the support group offered by my surgeon's office.

I am so looking forward to getting off Type II diambetic meds and starting my journey to a better life. I started gaining wieght 30 years ago so it will be such a change (in a good way). Good luck to all the Jan 2010 surgery dates. With collective positive thinking the way will be easier for us all.

Hi!  I am scheduled for January 11th also and looking for support.

I am Having the RNY done  jan 11th .. im scared but so excited! 

My wife is scheduled for Jan. 11th at 630 am.  Im still working on insurance and hope to get mine scheduled for Jan. 18th.  Just need one more doc appointment then can resubmit for approval.  Should get approved then and can schedule the surgery.

I was denied the first go around but the wife got approved with the same insurance.

What was the reason for being denied? I was approved right away, but from reading alot  post on here it seems there is a lot of people who get denied the first time. I hope everything works out that way you and your wife will be sharing this life change together.
