Surgery Date - January 18th - 2010

I called the insurance company last Thursday and they told me I would have to wait another week for the answer, I think I was getting impatient! 3 hours later my Surgeon's nurse calls and tells me I am approved!!!  What a rollercoaster day!   btw -   I got my approval letter today from the insurance co.!
I am so excited and nervous, and scared! But to think that I will never be 340+lbs again and be healthy is totally worth it!

So the date is January 18th!!  a little over a month.

I need some support from people who are/have doing/done this. I could use some friends! I have a wonderful wife and family, but I know they don't quite get what I am going through.

Congratulations on your surgery date! I'm scheduled for Jan. 5th.  We'll be here to help each other through this. Our lives will be changing...for the better...in January! ~ Chris

My date is 1/18/10 also!! yay!

My surgery is January 18th also, but I am having the Vertical Sleeve procedure.  I am having the same feelings. 

I would be happy to have you add me as a friend. I can't have too much support. My family is supportive but not interested in talking about it much... I already am scared and excited,,, concerned and thrilled... I just know I can't stay this way any longer... I need this badly..so I will get through these feelings. I know it is easier knowing I'/m not alone.

My surgery is January 26th with Dr. Wallace in Milwaukee..Starting weight 371 by my scale for now...

Feel free to add me to your friends list as well.  I am scheduled for January 6th, so I need the support too.  Looking forward to sharing the experience with everyone once I get to that losers bench.  I don't always post but I read a lot and will answer any questions or chime in occasionally on a topic.  I have an almost 3 yr old which makes it hard for me to get on the computer all the time.

I would love to add you as a friend.  My surgery date is January 20th!  I am in the same boat.  My husband has been so supportive about this whole thing but would LOVE to have someone that had the surgery on or about my date to go through it together.  All January surgery we can help support each other through this new life changing surgery! :)

This is my first time to post.  I am having surgery January 18 also...so excited but nervous.  I am having RNY.  My family is not very supportive about this my husband is very supportive however.  I can't wait i have waited for 10 yrs for this.
