Okay...so I was told NOT to gain ANY weight before surgery!!!
It's the HOLIDAY season!!!

Is anyone else worried about putting on pounds over the holiday season or am I just a worry wort?

I'm a little worried too.  Tomorrow I'm going to eat what want.  I have a 2 week liquid diet before my surgery so that will take me from Dec. 20th.  So I won't have to worry about Christmas weight.  Friday is NOT a Holiday....so back on track!  Remember NEXT Holiday season we will be content with little bites of our favourites and we will look and feel SO much better!

I have to LOSE 15 lbs.  It's not going well so far, either.  I am starting to worry that my date is going to end up getting cancelled. :(

I'm trying my best to keep my eye on the prize! I weighted this morning and I haven't gained anything back, but I'm also not feeling well so no working out this morning.

I'm just ready for Christmas to pass so I can stop worring about gaining.

So, how much do you need to lose and when do you have to have it off?

I love the holidays and I can drink some egg nog. I am very scared. I have started walking, hopefully this will make it not so bad. My surgery date is the 11th of January. My surgeon requires weight loss for patients heavier than me (over 50 BMI)

Good Luck

Hi....I'm a little worried too but my surgeon never said anything about losing weight before my surgery date. My dietitian wants or would like me to lose about 10 lbs but I was never told I HAD to.
Don't drive yourself crazy. If you feel you need to have something sweet just cut it in half-have a few bits then give the rest away. I know its hard but just try. Thats all you can do.

Good luck!!

Stressing here too. Like Jodi, my doctor suggested I lose 15lbs, but didn't say it was a requirement.  I had lost 3 lbs of it but haven't lost any more. My pre-op is on Dec. 14th. I'm hoping to at least lose a couple more pounds before then. My surgery is on Jan. 5th. ~ Chris
