Topic: RE: not losing on liquid diet....HELP!
good luck with the next week but, like everyone said: as long as you are doing what your doctor says you will be fine... keep up the good work and I didnt mean to offend you about the cream soup... that is just something my nutritionist said and I thought you were looking for ideas....
I have lost about 19 lbs and I have been on the diet 9 days. My doctor ordered sugarfree jello, crystal light, broth and sugarfree popsicles. I was also permitted lean chicken breast (but didnt eat that much) and protein shakes...It worked PERFECTLY for me! My surgery is tomorrow and I just wanna lose ONE more pound before I go in!

Topic: Slow weight loss ( doing something wrong?)
Hey all,
I am 2 weeks out today and have only lost 12 lbs. I am following all the rules and I don't know if there is something else I can do to kick start this weight loss.
Thanks
Lisa

Yeah, I wish I had measured myself prior to the liquid diet, the plan was to do it the night before surgery. I know I'm doing the best thing for my liver but I guess my expectations were out of whack. Hopefully this week is better. My surgery is exactly one week from today!! WOOT!!!
Thanks again for everyone taking the time to read and respond to this. The support here is just awesome.
Have a great day!!
p.s. We might get snow tonight....in Charlotte, NC!!! Very strange....

Listen, my third day was the hardest as well. But, I've been told that anytime your body goes through a trauma wether in surgery or an accident or something like that, that the third day s always the toughest. Keep walking and sipping, and get checked for the sleep apnea. My surgeon has all his patients evaluated for this before surgery. I was found to have it. At first the c-pap machine really irritated me, but now I feel so much more rested and energetic. It is worth looking into. You may not need it long as you will be losing a lot of weight. God's blessings upon you. Bobbi

Jann, so happy to hear you are doing fine. Keep up the good work. The more you walk, the easier it gets and the better you feel. Take care, Bobbi.
Topic: I have a pre-apopintment question?
Tomorrow is my first appointment with my bariatric surgeon. My mind is going every which way and I can't think straight. What questions should I ask him? I already went for the information seminar that was required prior to my appointment so I learned a lot about the different procedures but I am so scared I can't think straight. What do they do durning the first appointment? They told me that I would be there for at least two hours...what could they possibly do that takes that long?
