Topic: RE: Slow weight loss ( doing something wrong?)
Hi Lisa,
Congratulations on 12 lbs. What other weight loss plan would give those types of losses! I think the more you have to lose, the more you drop week over week. Celebrate the loss and don't worry about how much and how long. This is a journey that is to last a lifetime, so just sit back and enjoy the ride. I wish you the best on your journey and congrats again!

Topic: RE: I have a pre-apopintment question?
Catherine,
Of course each surgeon is different my guess is that he/she will explain any pre-op diet, any risks and their philosophy on which procedure they feel is right for you.
My husband had more questions to ask than I did, but together we asked some of the following:
Pre-op diet
Post-op diets and philosophies (and believe me each surgeon is SO different here)
How he would close my incisions (staples, super glue, stitches)
Malabsorbtion and digestion questions (my husband wanted clarification on these)
Have you had any pre-op tests, like endoscopy or cardiology clearances? I had to have an endoscopy, cardio clearance, pulmonology clearance (I have asthma). So if you haven't had any of these he may have certain pre-op tests that he will explain.
I hope that helps. I wish you the best on your journey to a healther you.

Topic: RE: not losing on liquid diet....HELP!
you didn't offend me at all! My comment was pure exasperation at following exactly what they said and still not losing! I'm sorry I gave you that impression! I do appreciate your response and think it's awesome that you've lost 19lbs!! I will be thinking about you tomorrow and during your recovery. Best of luck to you!!
Topic: TOMORROW!
I am absolutely totally excited that in 24 hours my surgery will be half over! I cannot wait! One of my best friends is coming to stay with me and will arrive here in AZ tonight at 5 pm this is just perfect. I get to change my life, see a great friend, and get healthy all at once!!! I am just so excited...I do have to admit that finally last night I started to get a little nervous so, when I started to get into my head I decided to bring my exchange student to the movies so that I could occupy my mind and not think abuot stuff...
basically I am just so happy!!!
