I know you've probably heard this a million times, but walk! It really does help. I had my gallbladder removed in October and it really does work. I also took gas-x.
I can do all things!

Topic: Home from hospital yesterday

I came home from the hospital yesterday and so far - so good. Surgery was uneventful. Pain was as expected. I'm getting the protein and the fluids in. I'm sipping and walking. All is well.

I've finally been given a date for my surgery. I'm having RNY on Tues Jan 27th and I can't wait! Thought I would be nervous after finding out my date but I'm just excited. 
Thanks to everyone who has shared their experiences with us and I'm sure I'll have more questions when I'm on the other side of surgery. Please remember me in your prayers.

WOW!! Good Luck to you I will keep you in my prayers. My RNY will be OPEN as well as that is all my surgeon does, but I am confident we will all do well :)

Hi ...Mine date is Thursday. I cannot believe how fast it has come. I will having a revision from the VBG to a DS. My surgery has to be open because of a hernia (HUGE)! I pray we will all do well with no complications. The nursing staff will be alert and compassionate to our needs. Look out losers bench, here we come. Please keep me in prayer. The revision is complicated but i have confidence in My surgeon and My GOD!

Thank you for the support :) I do have my husband but he works nights as I was telling Denise. It's going to be a little tricky balancing the kids, recovery and my new stomache but I can see with all the suppport I can get from everyone on OH I will be fine when I have questions or need some encouragement. The rest I will have to hope for the best and hope my family helps out :)
