Topic: Holy Moly it's Tomorrow!!!!
So....my surgery is tomorrow at 11am and I'm kinda freaking out.  I'm super excited but still a little worked up over having surgery in general.  Just say a little prayer for me tomorrow.  My hubby will post for me to let you all know I'm alive and kicking and I'll update as soon as I'm feeling up to it.  Good luck and best wishes to everyone recovering and getting ready for their surgeries, too.

xoxo

Karen -

My surgery is tomorrow, too and I'm a little freaked out and having some of the same thoughts as you are.  I have looked forward to this for SO long and it's finally here and I'm not quite sure how to feel.  I'm anxious but still very excited because I know this is the right path for me.  I have a 3yr old I want to run around with and enjoy her for MANY, MANY years and if I keep this weight on my story may not end so happily.  I think your feelings and fears are completely normal for someone who is about to turn their life upside down.   Recovering from surgery isn't going to be easy but the last two people I talked to who had RNY in January are up and about less than a week later and feeling great so the odds are on your side.  You said you are healthy which makes you less of a risk.  Try to think of it as a chance to start some new habits and set good examples for your kiddos, have faith that your surgeon will get you through surgery safe and sound and that we'll all be here waiting for you on the other side to offer you all the love and support you may need.  You can do this!

Keep your chin up...I know you're feeling a little crazy right now but once the dust settles you'll get back into the swing of things and I think your life will be better than you ever could have imagined.

xoxo

Topic: RE: Anyone scheduled for JAN 28TH???
Hi Kim!  Thank you so much for your kind words.  Can you believe that in just a few short days, we'll be laying on a gurney, being wheeled into the OR?  I'm feeling a little nervous too, and excited.  I am also thinking about all of the food that we won't be having...ever again...or for a very long time.  I'm not sure what time my surgery is at because they don't tell us until 24 hours before due to the OR board changing around.  I'll be thinking of you as well on our big day!  Take care Kim, and let me know how you're doing too!  Wendy

I too am scheduled for the 28th. I am so excited at this point. I have worried myself so much prior to this point but everyone on here has been so great at calming my nerves that now I am ready to go.  Wednesday can't come seen enough.

You will do great I'm sure of it.  We are all here for you, anytime you need something just PM.  What time is your surgery at?  I will be thinking on our big day :)
