Hey there, nice to see you up on the board.  How are you doing?  Surg go OK?

Everything went smoothly for me.  My one week visit is Tuesday.  I am just dying for food with flavor.   So far not much weight loss, but that will come.

Hugs,

Deb

Wendy,

I sure will! I will be going to hospital at 7:30 but surgery is not until 10:30a.

My husband keeps commenting on he doesn't know how I can do it without all that food.  I told him that's what I need, I will be just fine, WE ALL will be just fine. Looking towards the bigger goal, "US" a new and improved "us".

Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!  You guys are all so very awesome.  Thanks for all the kind words and support.  My surgeon called me this afternoon to check on me and to just say he'd see me in the morning and boy was that surreal!  I was like 'who is this?!?'....so very thoughtful.  It really put me at ease.  I've been keeping myself busy tidying up the house and I have food to puree (yum, yum).....I can't believe when I wake up tomorrow it'll be my day!

See you all on the other side!!!

xoxo

Vicki,

Thank you!! We are almost there.  How exciting Tuesday for you  Woohoo I really can't wait now.  I started to think about some of the mini weekend vacations I need to start booking and instead thinking of the ones that do not have water parks/pools...I am excited to think I can include now where I would have avoided those at all costs before.

I'm so excited for you, I will be praying for you.

Kim

Amanda,
Put the nerves and fear behind you and just remember why you are doing this in the first place. We all go through last minute jitters. I know I sure did, but I just kept the big picture in view.
I had lots of prayers coming my way and so do you. We are all here for you.
Get plenty of rest and just let your body do the healing it needs to do.
We'll be here when you get back!!
Praying for a healthy and thinner 2009.

Thanks for your response! I have to tell you it really isn't that much warmer here today. It is 3 below zero today.
Great job on getting on al your protein and fluids. I am still struggling with that  a little bit.
Getting better every day though.
Praying for a healthy and thinner 2009.

Amanda, I totally understand! I'm in the same boat! I have not been nervous except for the day they called with my surgery date, but today is a different story. I've been crying for no reason and keep thinking about my three children and what if they have to live without their momma. I know my mind is playing tricks on me and I'm so ready for this.  I think I'll need the little extra nerves medicine beforehand!

Good luck to you tomorrow. I'll be saying a prayer for all of us.

Hi Spoken4:
My blog is on OH.  Just click on my avatar and it will take you there.  Weight loss is a fickle thing.  Before surgery I could go up and down by as much as 5 lbs a day.  Post surgery I think it has to do with water retention now.  I'm currently on strained thick liquids and having a tough time thinking of anything appetizing.  Best wishes!

You will be just fine!  It's normal, I felt the same way.  Just be sure to relax and don't rush your recovery.  See you on the loser's bench!
