Topic: RE: Itching......Is this normal???
Yes this is normal.  I had my surgery on the 14th and I too have been itching.  The most basic answer without being complicated is that the itching is caused by the new growth/healing tissue at your incision sites.  This will subside and you can put anti-itch cream on it.  It is important not to scratch at your incisions though(I'm sure you know this) You don't want to open them up, or introduce bacteria from your nails to the healing wound.

It's amazing isn't it?  Just 2 more days!!!!  I'm sure we will be fine and yes it's so exciting.  I've worked hard for this day to get here and now it almost here.  DH is going to take the before pics tomorrow.  Imagine the difference in 2 months or so.  YEAH!!!!!!  two piece bathing suit this summer!!!!!   Hope things go well for you.  Let's keep in touch.  I'll email when I'm out of surgery.  I'll get DH to anyway.

Topic: RE: 1200 calories! Are you freakin kidding me?
My surgeon's nutrition after wls manual states a minimum of 800 kcal (what is that?!) for less than 3 months out and then up to a minimum of 1000 kcal after that.

Well, I got only approx 620 cal today...not sure what that means in "kcal" though...

I only feel 'full' after the first few bites if it's certain foods like cottage cheese or tuna fish on triscuits.  I feel full too late when I'm drinking protein shakes.

Nevermind...I found my answer.

YUCK - it tastes worse now than it did before surgery.

It's weird....I had a BM last Thurs & Fri and now...nothing.  Could it be because I've been having a low fat mozzarella cheese stick once (sometimes twice) a day?

So much for being excited over pooping last week...
