I made chicken salad yesterday and it tasted great!! It was a can of chicken 98% fat free, 2 tbsp of nonfat plain yogurt, 2 tbsp of light mayo, tbsp of onions and pepper to taste. I pureed it up and had 1/4c. YUMM. It was great having something with substance to it. I felt satisfied which is something I didn't feel while on the liquid stage.
I had scrambled eggbeaters this morning - was great and I felt satisfied with that as well.
Something else that I have been eating on snacks is a reduced fat cheese stick, you have to shew it up really well before swallowing, but it is a great filling snack only 70 cal, 1 fat, and 8protein which is great to up your protein.
Good luck everyone!

Congrats to all on your great success!!
I had my open gatric bypass surgery on 1/28/09 feeling better each day. I had a rough one yesterday I was very light headed and dizzy. My main incision is still pretty sore expecially inside as well as my stomach still swollen right there but starting to go down. I am getting all my protein in since I am on the mushie stage (about 70g/day). The water intake I need help, I am doing everything I can to get it all in at least the minimum but having a hard time, I have my drink with me at all times but I don't seem to be getting enough in.
I am down 13.6 lbs as of this morning which I am happy about but I was at 12 lbs this time last week so only 1.4 in a week is discouraging.
I am hoping I start losing again this week.
Good luck to you all.

My husband just had his lap band surgery on 2-11-09 and I hope he has the same quick recovery as you did. (He's still a hurting camper at the moment)
I had RNY on 1-23-09 and I'm doing well with it. Down 25 pounds since surgery and the BEST part of all this is that my diabetes is GONE !!! Just another wonderful part of WLS..... yippee !!!
Keep up the good work and good luck to you !!!
