Topic: RE: Hello! I have a January surgery!
Congrats on your date, Ruthann! I'm a day behind you. My surgeon's office had a bari-bootcamp also! They went over the entire surgical process from when you check into the hospital to when you leave. They also talked about the diet progression in detail as well as vitamins and fluids- of course protein was stressed! THEN we met with the exercise physiologist (they have a gym at the center) and went through core training exercises for an hour- what a sight that must have been! Imagine a group of out-of-shape, morbidly obese people in an exercise class, using those big exercise balls...
Anyways, good luck with your surgery- We are looking forward to hearing how you're doing.

Topic: RE: How did every one make out on liquids over christmas?
Luckily I don't have to do a liquid diet. Congrats on sticking to it over Christmas! It will be worth it. I am committed to following my surgeon's instructions to the letter.
Topic: I'm Getting Anxious
for January to get here so that our January forum members can start sharing their experiences with surgery and the early post-op days! It's neat that we'll all be going through the same things together!
Topic: RE: Check out this fun site!
Thanks for sharing this! I had a lot of fun trying on size 8 clothes!! Hopefully I'll be doing that for real someday...
Topic: RE: 6 more days to go!
Kudos to you for sticking to the liquids over Christmas- that must have been really hard! Luckily, my surgeon doesn't require a liquid diet, although I am going to do it for 3-4 days before surgery anyways. I'm feeling the same way as you are- the emotions are all over the place! Just stay focused on the end result! Good Luck!
Topic: RE: Dates in order
Thanks, Ashley! It's definitely getting closer! Are you getting nervous yet? I sure am, but I'm trying to stay really busy.
